Amanda Altieri, ’10, ’12, Doctor of Physical Therapy, is engaged to Collin Mooney. Amanda is a physical therapist at St. Peter’s Health Partners and Collin is an engineer at General Electric. Their wedding date is set for July 20, 2013.
Kate Barker, ’10, Health Care Studies, is engaged to marry Brandon Kawa. The future bride is a community educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension and the future groom is an associate coordinator/budget planner for the International Graduate Programs for Educators at Buffalo State College. Their wedding will be held on August 31, 2013 in Appleton, NY.
Annette Giovannetti, ’84, Physical Therapy, married Earl Phillips on October 20, 2012. The newlyweds traveled to Aruba for their honeymoon, and reside in Auburn, NY.
Becky (Enser) Patterson, ’05, Graphic Design, married Sean Patterson on April 14, 2012 in Getzville, NY. Sean is a graduate of Clarkson University and is a computer programmer in Sanborn, NY. Becky is a full time in-house graphic designer at The Chapel in Getzville. They reside in Williamsville.
Jennifer (Erickson) Nelson, ’05, Adolescent Biology Education, married Harold J. Nelson, Jr. on August 11, 2012. Jennifer is a 7th & 8th grade science teacher at General Brown Central School in Dexter. Harold is a graduate of E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville, N.C. He is a service technician and service manager at Harbor’s End Marina, Henderson Harbor.
Cara (Mundt) Lane, ’06, Social Work, married John Lane on June 15, 2012. John is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and is Vice President of Operations for Lexjet and Cara is employed by Darden Corp. The couple resides in Sarasota, FL.
Rachel (Carroll) Pellicano, ’10, Childhood/ Special Education, married Chris Pellicano on June 29, 2012 in Buffalo, NY. She is a sixth grade special education teacher for the Frontier Central School District in Hamburg, NY. They currently reside in Orchard Park, NY.
Lisa (Kasprzak) Malin, ’11, Nursing, married Thomas Malin, Jr. on September 22, 2012, in Charleston, SC. Donations in their guests’ honor were made by the bride and groom to Shine A Light, a nonprofit organization cofounded by the groom. The newlyweds honeymooned in South Africa, and currently reside in Charleston, SC.

Sister Geraldine Warthling (formerly S. Mary Cordis), ’63, Mathematics, passed away on January 2, 2013. After high school graduation, Geraldine entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity at Stella Niagara and made her profession of vows in August 1961.

Thomas J. Recktenwalt, ’73, Business Administration, passed away on December 22, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Donna; brother, Charles (Shelia) and a nephew, David (Natalie), both of West Seneca, NY; a niece, Nancy (Aaron) Brown of Northern Ireland; and a nephew, Daniel (Kristin), of Poughquag, NY.
