Memories of Rosary Hill abounded as members of the Class of 1962 celebrated their 50th anniversary on the Daemen campus Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8, 2012.
Friday’s activities included a welcome reception for the classmates in historic Rosary Hall, which served as the site of the entire College when it was opened in September, 1948, by the Sisters of St. Francis.
Saturday’s events began with a campus tour, led by Daemen Student Alumni Ambassadors. Members of the Class of ‘62 got a first-hand look at the Gold LEED Certified Research & Information Commons, which opened in January, 2009, replacing Marian Library. Class members also toured the new Haberman Gacioch Center for Visual & Performing Arts, which opened in October, 2012.
Following the tour, the classmates attended a reception and dinner in Wick Center’s Alumni Lounge. A brief introduction was made by Dr. Edwin Clausen and classmate Katherine (Koessler) Juhasz ’62. It was a wonderful weekend for the Class of 1962!
