Quilting and the Underground Railroad

Estelle Anderson will launch the celebration of Women's History Month at Daemen College with her presentation, "Quilting and the Underground Railroad." Mrs. Anderson's talk emphasizes the significance of quilting in the African American community and explains how quilts served to guide fugitive slaves to freedom along the Underground Railroad through hidden messages and directions.
