PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

SPRING SEMESTER 2010

SUBJECT TO CHANGE:  FINAL EXAM SCHEDULE WILL BE PUBLISHED BY THE END OF MARCH.

 

Final examinations for DAYTIME CLASSES will be held on MONDAY, MAY 10  THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 14  as indicated on the schedule below.

 

Final examinations for EVENING CLASSES   which begin at 4:00 P.M. or later on MWF will be held from 5:15 PM on MONDAY, MAY 10 and WEDNESDAY, MAY 12; classes which begin at 4:00 P.M. or later on TTh will be held from 5:15 PM on TUESDAY, MAY 11 and THURSDAY, MAY 13.

 

SPECIAL EXAM TIMES may be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday (all day), May 8 and 9, Thursday, May 13 from 8:00 AM to 10:50 AM, or Friday, May 14  from 2:10 PM. Special Exam times must be scheduled with the Registrar's Office. No special exam time may be scheduled during the Daytime Class Exam Schedule.

 

PLEASE NOTE:   Certain Science/Math courses have reserved class times as noted in the Master Schedule. Before requesting exam time changes, please consult the Master Schedule to determine if these courses/reserved times pertain to any of your students.

 

CONFLICTS:   A student has an examination conflict when either: 2 OR MORE of his/her examinations are scheduled for the same examination period or MORE THAN 2 examinations are scheduled for one day.

Students who have a conflict should contact instructors involved to make arrangements to take one or more examinations at a time convenient for the student and instructor.

NOTE : Saturday and Sunday afternoons, Thursday, May 13 from 8:00 to 10:50 AM and Friday, May 14, 2010 from 2:10 PM have been reserved for conflicts.

 

DURATION OF EXAM: Each examination period is two hours and 50 minutes in length.

 

LOCATION: Examinations are held in the same room in which courses are regularly scheduled.

 

NO EXAMINATION: If an examination is not required, the class must meet during the scheduled examination period and for the full duration of the examination period.

HOW TO READ THE EXAMINATION SCHEDULE:

The examination schedule is determined on the basis of the day(s) and the starting time of each class. The following DAY CODE is used:

                MWF - First class meeting is on Monday or Wednesday or Friday

                TT     - First class meeting is on Tuesday or Thursday.

 

In order to determine when an examination is scheduled, look under the "EXAMINATION DATES" columns to locate a course. Each course is designated by the DAY CODE and the starting time. Once located, look in the column marked "EXAMINATION PERIOD" which is at the far left of the page. This is the time when the examination is scheduled.

 

EXAMPLE:

  Classes which normally start between 9:05 A.M. and 10:05 A.M. on: Monday and/or Wednesday and/or Friday will meet for examination on:Wednesday, 05/12, at 8:00 to 10:50 A.M.in regularly scheduled classroom.
