Join Linda M. Janelli, RN, BC, EdD. LtCol, (Retired), USAF, NC for a presentation: Operation Homecoming to Desert Storm – Through the Eyes of a Flight Nurse
Time sometimes stands still, sometimes it flies, and in any case it is difficult to appreciate that Operation Homecoming returning our POWs from Vietnam took place 41 years ago. Desert Storm was 23 years ago. Yes, a different war, a different country, but as some things changed, some things remained the same. This is a personal account as seen through the lenses of an Air Force Flight Nurse. You’re invited on this retrospective journey.

This event is free and open to the public. Join us at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 14 on the Daemen campus in the Wick Campus Center, Social Room.

Ain't Misbehavin'

7:00 - 9:00 pm - MusicalFare Theatre: Theater

It was a time when Lenox Avenue dives in Harlem were filled with piano players banging out the new beat known as swing. AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ is the acclaimed Broadway musical revue featuring Fats Waller music of the 1920s and 30s. Five performers present an evening of rowdy, rollicking, finger-snapping songs that capture the moods of uptown clubs and downtown Tin Pan Alley. The versatile cast struts and sings the songs that encapsulate the various moods of the era and reflect Waller's view of life as a journey meant for pleasure and play.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel

7:00 - 9:00 pm - MusicalFare Theatre: Theater

CAROUSEL’s romance of Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan is one of musical theater’s classic stories. We witness one man’s shot at redemption in this Rodgers and Hammerstein masterpiece that hasn’t been professionally produced in WNY in over 20 years. The show includes the well-known songs "If I Loved You" and "You'll Never Walk Alone" and won the 1994 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Don’t miss the show that composer Richard Rodgers said was his favorite of all of his musicals!
