Boy's Basketball Camps

9:00 am - 4:00 pm - Athletic Facility: Lumsden Gym

Boys Basketball Camps
Session 1: July 15-19 (9am-4pm)
Session 2: August 5-9 (9am-4pm)
Open to boys entering grades 4-10

Description: Designed for beginners (entering grades 4-6) as well as intermediate level junior high and high school boys (entering grades 7-10), this camp offers instruction and training in the fundamental skills and techniques of passing, dribbling, shooting, screening, individual defense and team defense. Emphasis is placed on individual skill improvement while also teaching team offensive and defensive concepts. Various drills, games and competition will be used to put these techniques into practice. Campers are divided into two separate leagues by age and experience as well as skill level, which provides a great learning environment. In a five day program, campers are exposed to basketball being taught at a high level by Daemen coaches and players. Additionally, campers have the privilege of hearing from several guest speakers throughout the week, touching on topics from basketball.
