The Nancy Gacioch Entrepreneur Lecture Series: Leslie Zemsky

5:00 - 6:30 pm - Wick Center: Alumni Lounge

Leslie Zemsky, director of special events and projects at Larkin Square, has been charged with revitalizing the Larkinville neighborhood into an entertainment destination.

Zemsky, also known as Larkin Square’s director of fun, has generated a schedule of events and activities to revitalize the Larkinville area created by her husband, Howard Zemsky, and the Larkin Development Group, for which she serves as a partner.

This year’s Lecture Series, which is sponsored by the Daemen Entrepreneurship Program, will bring several community entrepreneurs who recognize the potential that exists in the region’s neighborhoods through revitalization efforts, new programming, job creation, or collaborative endeavors.

Veteran's Event Speaker

2:00 - 3:00 pm - Wick Center: Wick Social Room

Join Linda M. Janelli, RN, BC, EdD. LtCol, (Retired), USAF, NC for a presentation: Operation Homecoming to Desert Storm – Through the Eyes of a Flight Nurse
Time sometimes stands still, sometimes it flies, and in any case it is difficult to appreciate that Operation Homecoming returning our POWs from Vietnam took place 41 years ago. Desert Storm was 23 years ago. Yes, a different war, a different country, but as some things changed, some things remained the same. This is a personal account as seen through the lenses of an Air Force Flight Nurse. You’re invited on this retrospective journey.

This event is free and open to the public. Join us at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 14 on the Daemen campus in the Wick Campus Center, Social Room.
