Students work includes drawings of community workers that were discussed in the community worker’s unit. Student work also includes writing one sentence about the worker they have drawn a picture of. The choices of workers the students can draw/write about include: firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, soldiers, chefs, teachers, and construction workers.

The accuracy and neatness section of a three point rubric will be used to assess the students’ knowledge of community helpers through their drawings and written sentences.
