The students will express their opinions on a community worker of their choice, by sharing what they have learned through drawings and writing sentences. |
Students work includes drawings of community workers that were discussed in the community worker’s unit. Student work also includes writing one sentence about the worker they have drawn a picture of. The choices of workers the students can draw/write about include: firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, soldiers, chefs, teachers, and construction workers. |
The accuracy and neatness section of a three point rubric will be used to assess the students’ knowledge of community helpers through their drawings and written sentences. |
